Salvation

God wants you to honor and serve Him

Revelation 4:11 -- "You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created."

Your sin (breaking God's rules) keeps you from pleasing God

Romans 3:23 -- "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"

I John 3:4 -- "Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness."

James 2:10 -- "For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all."

Sin is paid for by death and separation from God

Psalm 5:4 -- "For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness, Nor shall evil dwell with You."

Romans 6:23 -- "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Revelation 20:15 -- "And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire."

You cannot get to heaven by being good or doing lots of good works

Titus 3:5a -- "not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,"

Ephesians 2:8-9 -- "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, Not of works, lest anyone should boast."

Here's the best part! Christ paid for you sins

Romans 5:8 -- "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

I Peter 3:18a-- "For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us F21 to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,"

Accept Christ's payment for your sin

John 14:6 -- "Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."

Acts 16:31a -- "So they said, 'Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household'."

Romans 10:13 -- "For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Turn from your sin. Want something completely different than your sin?

Luke 13:5 -- "I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish."

Acts 17:30 -- "Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent,"

Acts 17:31 -- "because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead."

God has made you a promise, eternal life.
John 5:24 -- "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life."
What now?

Take a moment and answer the following questions.

1. Are you a sinner?

2. Do you want forgiveness for your sins?

3. Do you believe Jesus died on the cross for you and rose again?

4. Are you ready to invite Jesus into your life and into your heart?
If you can answer yes to these questions then we invite you to say this prayer...

Heavenly Father, I have sinned against You. I want forgiveness of all my sins. I believe Jesus died on the cross for me and rose again. Father, I give You my life to do with as You wish. I want Jesus Christ to come into my life and into my heart. I ask this in Jesus' name. Amen

I've accepted christ...what's next
